Wish I could give this review 100+ stars. Cariad Photography was amazing from the start. When we were looking at Chota Falls we did not have a photographer. Chota falls recommended Cariad Photography. Steffi was more than willing to come over and meet us. I knew from the start that was who I wanted on our special day. Her work is true art. Her portfolio took my breath away. She had amazing work with beautiful photos. Steffi worked with us on a timeline for the day in regards to pictures. You can't go wrong with choosing Cariad Photography. Steffi and Steve are very personable, professional, and reasonable priced. They captured every joyous moment of our wedding day. The pictures are breathtaking. I could not believe how beautiful they turned out. I normally hate how I look in photos. I was so nervous, but Steffi and Steve made us feel completely comfortable. They made the process fun and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. Steffi went above and beyond for our wedding. She even had to deal with a bipolar family member of ours during the reception that forgot his meds. For some reason this family member focused his aggressive energy on Steffi, but she handled him with grace. It was a tough situation that could have ruined our wedding. Instead, Steffi took control of the situation which allowed us to stay focused on the happiness of the night. I can't thank her enough for her professionalism. On October 3rd, 2015 Jeff Sargent and I got married at the beyond beautiful Brasstown Resort in Young Harris, Ga. It was a destination wedding and we were referred by a coworker to Cariad Photography who was also getting married in that local area. My coworker could not stop raving about the pictures she saw online and when we looked for ourselves, we booked immediately. Steffi, was the most artistic and compassionate vendor during the MOST stressful planning period in our lives. She ensured we booked the best package that suited our needs without trying to gain a buck. Steffi and her husband arrived at our venue for our reheasal and stopped us in our tracks walking through the lobby. .. "You must be Jeff and the future Mrs. Sargent" and welcomed us with the sincerity and warmth of family. They attended our rehearsal to ensure they could gauge the ceremony proceedings at no additional cost. When they arrived on our wedding day, it was raining profusely... to ease my heart, they jokingly said "Hurricane effect... nice touch, we are going to make it look amazing"... and they did. The pictures are beyond PHENOMENAL and the relationship you gain with these photographers are priceless. I truly felt like I had my Mom at my wedding even though she had passed in 2012. Cariad Photography is artistic, direct and ensure you get what you paid for. Cariad sent a sweet gift right after the wedding which was a great surprise and the albums were truly a TIMELESS TREASURE. "We hired Steffi for to take our wedding photographs and she gave us so much more. She has now allowed us to relive our wedding day with such detail through her artistic and vivid images. Our wedding was at Chota Falls in North Ga. She knew that venue like the back of her hand. She knew exactly where to put us for the best lighting and angles. Steffi and her husband work so well as a team. He would assist with lighting and capture sweet candid moments while Steffi would capture the main frames. She helped me stay on schedule in order to get the most out of our session. She is so professional. Steffi would be everywhere at just the right moment, but you never saw her. I looked at our album online and didn't even realize she had taken certain photos. Also, she knew how to handle the large crowds of people... Getting a photo of 20+ family members is hard. Her system works! After our wedding she had all of our photos edited and retouched within a week. I would sign into our online account at least twice a day. It seemed that there were new ones every time I looked. She got them done so quick! She helped make our wedding day special, she turned into a friend rather than a photographer. Exceeded our every expectation!!! As a "semi-involved" groom I quickly learned the importance of engagement and wedding photos... to be cherished for a lifetime. When we booked our wedding at Chota Falls, a list of vendors was given to us. We chose Cariad Photography because they were the preferred photographers and they knew the "lay of the land". From the beginning, Steffi and Steve were professional. Our entire package was a customized package which included engagement photos, wedding day photos, video of the ceremony, our customized wedding album, as well as all the photos burned to discs. When meeting with Steffi, she took her time with us, gave professional and positive suggestions, and made us feel extremely comfortable. We had our engagement pictures back within three weeks and they were fantastic! Their work is flawless, creative, and absolutely amazing! To be honest, I don't feel like I photograph well at all. However, Steffi made me believe and feel like I was the most beautiful bride ever! I felt so comfortable with her and her team. The morning after our wedding, Steffi hand delivered an absolutely gorgeous picture of Jason and I in a field surrounded by the vibrant fall leaves. Having to decide on a wedding photographer was a bit overwhelming for me. However, my fiance made the statement that the pictures would be the one thing that we would always have to cherish our day. So, if we wanted something memorable, we needed to choose our photographer wisely. After seeing the products that Cariad Photography had to offer, our choice was easy! Steffi Smith and her husband, Steve, treated us like family and truly blessed us with her awesome talent in taking photos! She and her husband worked as a team to capture our day. She showed up totally prepared with multiple cameras and back up equipment, which impressed me. At her suggestion, we had an intimate moment prior to the actual ceremony where my fiance was able to walk down the aisle of a small church at our venue. As she came walking down the aisle, Steffi was able to capture the look on my face, seeing my bride for the first time. This was done with just the two of us and her camera caught the emotion and beauty of it all. Steffi also recommended to do a 'Trash the Dress' session. We came back to the cold waters of North Georgia to play in the waterfalls and have it all captured forever in film! Again, Steffi and Steve showed up with multiple cameras and totally blew us away with their attentiveness. My wife and I had a wonderful time and even enjoyed lunch with our two new friends. After all the wonderful time together and the amazing work that Cariad Photography did, we count ourselves truly blessed that we not only received some awesome photos but we now have some amazing friends. Cariad means "Beloved" The photos are BEAUTIFUL! We are so excited to have such fine pictures of us, our families, and friends at our wedding celebration. Cariad Photography is the best! My husband and I got married on April 9th of 2011 in Highlands, NC at my family's property. I had to replan our wedding 5 times over a 2 year period because my husband is an active-duty Marine, and Steffi Smith was always easily accessable and super agreeable to all the changes from day 1. She connected me to our top-notch caterer and to our wonderful reasonably priced hair/nail/make up artists. Our wedding was perfect because of Steffi! She and her husband were absolutely wonderful to work with, and did an OUTSTANDING job with our photos the day of, professionally dealing with rain, bright sun, an insane amount of knats, and seperated family issues. What I really enjoyed was how fast our photos were available online, within the month, and ordering prints was super easy with low rates. She also did an excellent job assembling our beautiful wedding album, sending it only 4 months post the wedding. Most photographers take ages to get wedding photos to the couple, and especially the album. Steffi worked with me every step of the way in planning, the day of our wedding, and after to ensure all of our needs were met. Best of all, her photos are amazing! She captured many important moments of our wedding perfectly. Steffi truely knows how to perfectly manage her business and care for the needs of her clients, going above and beyond. I personally feel that for how amazing of a job she does, she could charge so much more. Her rates remain reasonable because she loves her job and her love is easily exhibited in her work. What a wonderful photographer, person, and friend! I am so grateful that Cariad Photography photographed my wedding. From the moment I met Steffi, I knew that I didn’t have to worry about a thing with my wedding pictures—her portfolios are full of gorgeous photographs that highlight the beauty of her clients’ special days. She gave precise directions while photographing my wedding, which made posing easy and natural. The placement of people in the surrounding environment in my photos is spectacular. Not only did Steffi and Steve take the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen, but they even stayed at my wedding well after I had expected them to leave in order to capture my wedding’s bon fire, an event that followed my reception. I would not have pictures of this event if Steffi had not been such a dedicated photographer.
